Speaking

Drawing from her extensive work as a faculty member at Santa Rosa Junior College, a long-time peer educator, a trainer of trainers, and stage performer, Becky’s presentations are audience-appropriate, interactive, and lively. They incorporate a balance of hard-hitting and inspiring stories, data, and calls to action.

The following are some topics that can be presented in order to deepen a group’s understanding of public health issues, sexual assault, and more. Each topic can be adapted to 1-3 hour long presentations. Whether you are seeking a training, workshop, keynote address, panelist, or guest speaker, Becky will work with you to ensure that your objectives are covered.

Topics of specialty:

  • Sexual assault prevention

  • Bystander intervention/becoming an active bystander

  • Survivor empowerment and healing through story-telling

  • The power of story-telling in service to your own healing and that of others

  • Showing up for the people around us to promote a culture of mental well-being

  • Speaking powerfully and effectively about mental health

  • Suicide prevention (QPR Institute)

  • And, more

"Becky was an excellent closing speaker for our conference! She displayed her passion for mental health advocacy and inspired the attendees to become advocates along the way. I believe that everyone in attendance gained the tools to be more compassionate to themselves and others, and we were very grateful to have her bring light to the importance of mental health education." - UC Davis, Jan. 2020
